TITANIUM

A titanium supply

Specialty metals are commonly used in manufacturing because of their high strength and durability. More specifically, titanium allows manufacturers to meet strict requirements across a variety of industries — it provides a high ratio of strength compared to its weight.

If you are looking for a titanium supplier, contact Vested Metals based in St. Augustine, Florida.

Titanium Supply Options

Titanium supply is commonly used in alloy form. When used this way, it combines its low-corrosion, lightweight, and high-strength characteristics with the desirable qualities of other metals. It’s commonly used in medical applications and high-speed aircraft.

To see the exact specifications of the titanium supply options we offer, scroll through the information below. Along with the specs, the listings below share details about the strengths of specific options as well as common applications and available forms. Vested Metals is an ISO 9100 certified titanium supplier. To order any of these grades call (904) 495‑7278.

CP1

High resistance to corrosion among many environments, high strength, low ductility

CP Titanium Grade 1 has the least strength and highest ductility of the 4 CP Titanium Grades. This is due to CP Titanium Grade 1 having a higher level of purity than Grades 2-4. Like all ASTM F67 grades, CP Titanium Grade 1 possesses high corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility. Of CP Titanium Grades 1-4, Grade 1 requires the lowest Iron and Oxygen content.

Specs Markets Applications Forms
ASTM F-67, ASME SB-363, ASME SB-381, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338, ASME SB-348, ASME SB-265, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338 Aerospace, Architecture, Medical, Chemical Processing, Desalination Cryogenic vessels, heat exchangers, condenser tubing, bone plates, artificial hearts, pacemakers, artificial hip joints Bar, Rectangular Bar, Plate, Tubing, Wire, Sheet, Strip, Coil, Profile

CP2

Moderate strength, low formability relative to CP3 and CP4, great corrosion resistance

CP Titanium Grade 2 has moderate strength (between Grades 1 and 3) and very good ductility in the annealed condition. Like all ASTM F67 Grades, CP Titanium Grade 2 has high corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility. Of CP Titanium Grades 1-4, only Grade 1 requires lower Iron and Oxygen content than Grade 2.

Specs Markets Applications Forms
ASTM F-67, ASME SB-363, ASME SB-381, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338, ASME SB-348, AMS 4921, ASME SB-265, AMS 4902, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338, AMS 4942 Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Industrial, Power Gen., Marine, Architecture, Desalination Dental implant prostheses components, bridges, artificial knee joints, cardiac valve prostheses Bar, Rectangular Bar, Plate, Tubing, Wire, Sheet, Strip, Coil, Profile

CP3

Moderate strength, great resistance to oxidation, great resistance to corrosion

CP Titanium Grade 3 has moderate strength, slightly higher than that of CP Titanium Grade 2. CP Titanium Grade 3 has good ductility in the annealed condition and has high corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility.

Specs Markets Applications Forms
ASTM F-67, ASME SB-363, ASME SB-381, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338, ASME SB-348, AMS 4921, ASME SB-265, AMS 4902, ASME SB-337, ASME SB-338, AMS 4942 Aerospace, Medical, Dental, Energy, Pulp and Paper Production, Desalination Condensers, evaporators, reaction vessels, orthodontic appliances, woven wire mesh, screws for fracture fixation, heat exchangers Bar, Rectangular Bar, Pipe, Plate, Tube, Wire, Sheet, Strip, Coil, Forgings, Weld Wire

CP4

Low strength, high ductility, high impact resistance, high corrosion resistance

CP Titanium Grade 4 is the highest strength commercially pure titanium due to its higher allowable levels of iron and oxygen than Grades 1-3. CP Titanium Grade 4 has good ductility in the annealed condition and possesses high corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility.

Specs Markets Applications Forms
ASTM F67, AMS 4901, ASTM B348, ASTM B381, AMS 4921, ASTM F1341, ASTM B265, MIL-T-9047 Aerospace, Medical, Dental, Energy, Pulp and Paper Production, Desalination Cryogenic vessels, heat exchangers, condenser tubing, bone plates, artificial hearts, pacemakers, artificial hip joints, heat exchangers Bar, Rectangular Bar, Plate, Tubing, Wire, Sheet, Strip, Coil, Profile

Ti 15Mo

Low elasticity, good ductility, high resistance to corrosion, high strength

Ti 15Mo is a beta titanium, and is a highly versatile and biocompatible material that is capable of being applied to a large variety of end uses. Its non-magnetic properties allow patients with implants made from Ti 15Mo to be examined on MRI, NMRI, and MRT equipment.

Specs Markets Applications Forms
ASTM F2066 Medical Joint replacements, dental implants, fusion hardware, spinal rods Bar, Rectangular Bar, Plate, Tubing, Wire, Sheet, Strip, Coil, Profile

Ti 6Al-7Nb

High strength, high corrosion resistance, highly biocompatible
